Air Zermatt

Air Zermatt has been a byword for mountain rescue for more than 45 years. Zermatt's pioneering helicopter rescue service has already saved hundreds of mountaineers and snow sports enthusiasts from precarious situations. However, Air Zermatt is more than just a rescue service. As well as a wide range of tourist flights, the company provides transport services and is actively supporting Zermatt Bergbahnen AG in the construction of the world’s highest 3S cableway. Air Zermatt has so far flown several hundred round trips to 3S construction sites. These include transport flights in support of rock stabilization measures on the west face of the Klein Matterhorn, flights servicing the construction site installations on the Italian side and transporting materials for crane assembly at the new mountain station.
