Peak Architekten

Designed by Peak Architekten, the top terminal's new architecture harmonises with existing structures, and responds sensitively to the natural environment.Peak Architekten was founded in 2005 by Heinz Julen and Ueli Lehmann. INTO the Hotel, a hotel designed by Julen, made international headlines in 2000. This and several other successful architectural projects inspired Zermatt Bergbahnen AG to invite Julen to an architectural competition for the upgrade of facilities at Klein Matterhorn. Julen brought in architect Ueli Lehmann for his expertise in such competitions and their implementation. They went on to win first prize in the ZBAG competition.Since then, Peak Architekten have designed and realised a number of other architectural projects in Switzerland and abroad.
