EW Zermatt AG

Having its own power stations, EW Zermatt AG is now in a position to cover around 60% of the electricity consumption in Zermatt with clean, locally generated hydropower. In the future too, they will pursue the target of increasing the share of renewable energy even further.

Their distribution systems cover the entire Zermatt region. With an extensive 20 kV supply network they transport electric power up to altitudes of 3'900 metres above sea level. This places a heavy burden on the technical installations and requires well qualified and experienced employees. EW Zermatt AG has a highly trained workforce to plan, implement and maintain the supply of energy to the region, including locations high in the mountains.
